It has been nearly six months since the Samqwane’jk Sustainable Ocean Partnerships Initiative launched on June 8th, 2021. Since that time, our team has been busy fielding inquiries from companies across Atlantic Canada.
Based on the quality and volume of applications received, it is safe to say that the capacity and ambitions of Indigenous ocean-based businesses is nothing short of inspiring.
Although we truly wish we could support every applicant that has come forward, we are excited to announce that the Samqwanejk Sustainable Ocean Partnerships Initiative has made our final selection of projects to be supported through our program.
We thank all applicants and inquirers for their interest throughout the application period.
